• Say "Yes" to Your Needs

    Birthing women often get overwhelmed by health professionals so end up pleasing them and ignoring their own needs.

    Bringing new life into the world is a life fulfilling event as well as a physical process so meeting needs and expectations surrounding birth is very important Evidence shows that no matter what turn her birthing takes if a woman's needs are met she will feel safisfied.

    So my advice is that from this day onwards you always express your needs. Feel how good it is to say yes to what you want for you and your baby knowing that your birth will then go the way you choose and be the calm safisfying experience you are planning.

    Bringing a new life into the world carries with it the responsibility to get it right which can be very daunting for new parents. Catherine M Wallace offers very good advice to get you started on the right track when she says:

    'Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big. Because to them all of it has been big stuff''.

    My wealth of experience of life and birthing has made me grounded and realistic. I am a calm, level headed individual and never get flustered. Positive thinking comes naturally to me; as a teacher I have been told I inspire confidence and trust, I am perfectionist and always strive to achieve the best outcomes for others benefit which brings me happiness and much satisfaction.

    The biggest love in my life is my family and I am proud to say I helped all 7 of my grandchildren into the world who are now a constant source of joy and laughter.
